Important Branch Updates

The added convenience and ease of transacting business without needing to come into a Momentum branch has become so popular with Members that it has notably reduced the usage of our branch locations. This drop in usage, combined with the impact COVID has had on the financial services sector, has led us to make the difficult decision to close two of our branch locations.

At the end of September our Brampton location and King Street location in Hamilton will close permanently. All accounts currently maintained at these branches will be transferred to nearest locations in Oakville at 1045 Industry Street and Upper James Hamilton at 892 Upper James Street.

Your accounts will be transferred automatically to the branch. No action by you will be necessary.

COVID has changed the way everyone conducts their business and in response Momentum has continued to develop our electronic and remote banking services and Members have responded by using them more and more each day!

Now through online and mobile banking you can deposit cheques remotely and send international wires directly from your bank account! Simply contact the Solution Centre to get set up.

With our MyMCU App, you can check your account balance, pay bills, transfer funds and send and receive Interac® eTransfers from/to your account.


ATM Banking

In addition to having access to Momentum Credit Union ATMs at no charge, our members can make withdrawals and deposits at any of the 3,300 The Exchange® Network ATMs across Canada for FREE.

With fewer members needing to come into branches, these resources will be redirected to continue to meet our goal of delivering better rates and lower fees to all Members.
